With millions of dollars in prize money at stake, the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, a yearly carnival in Riyadh put on by the Saudi royal family, features a camel beauty contest. Camel breeders from across the kingdom show off their finest animals, which are judged based on the shape of the camels’ heads, necks, humps, dress and postures.
