I talk with Nick Scott Senior of Scott Enterprises on the growth of the entertainment company in this week’s Giving You the Business Report.

“We’re really about a place to come with your family,” said Nick Scott Jr. “A getaway.”
Scott Enterprises has been entertaining people for decades.
“Scott Enterprises is an umbrella name for 28 different corporations that generate 28 sites and businesses,” said Nick Scott Senior.
Its the company behind notable venues in the Erie region, like Splash Lagoon, Peek n Peak Ski Resort and Adventure Park, Oliver’s Rooftop Restaurant along Erie’s bayfront, and Oliver’s Beer Garden, named after Erie maritime legend Oliver Hazard Perry.
Showcasing regional storylines is important to the Scott family.
“My father Chris Scott was really the main patriarch of the company and his influence still remains,” said Scott Sr.
The entrepreneurial spirit of Nick Scott’s dad is now in the third generation of Scott’s, Chris, named after his grandfather, and Nick junior.
It was in the 1970’s and late 80’s the business became Scott Enterprises. Owning local Arby’s restaurants and the Bonanza Steakhouse is was started the franchise part of the company
